शैक्षणिक वर्ष 2022-23 से प्रभावी राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति (एनईपी) 2020 के आदेश के अनुसार कक्षा 1 के लिए प्रवेश की आयु को संशोधित कर 6 वर्ष कर दिया गया है।The age of entry for Class 1 has been revised as per the mandate of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 to 6 years with effect from the Academic Year 2022-23.
When submitting the KVS Class 1 online admission form, a digital copy (Scan Copy) of proof of date of birth (JPEG file with a maximum size of 256 KB) must be uploaded.

Online Registration for Class 1 Admission in KVS
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan notified the single window registration process for class 1 admission in all Kendriya Vidyalaya schools located across India will start on 28th February 2022 (Monday). The website address of KVS admission portal is https://kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in/

This portal is exclusively for applying for admission to Std 1 in Kendriya Vidyalayas all over India for the academic year 2022-2023.
शैक्षणिक सत्र 2022-2023 के लिए कक्षा 1 में प्रवेश के लिए पंजीकरण एवं ऑनलाइन आवेदन 28 Feb 2022 10:00 IST से शुरू होगा।
Registration and submission of online application for admission to Std 1 for the academic year 2022-2023 will start on 28 Feb 2022 10:00 IST.

KVS Online Admission Fair 2022-23
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Headquarters maintain 1200 KV schools across India. The class 1 registration (Application Format) for all Kendriya Vidyalayas have been successfully conducted by KVS for the last few years online. Usually, KVS enrollment starts in the first week of March each year. Unfortunately, due to the spread of Govt-19, the admission process was not conducted in the priority month.
Eligibility of Age in KV Class 1
The rules of age criteria is strictly followed in all Kendriya Vidyalaya schools for admission for all classes.
Minimum age for Class 1 in Kendriya Vidyalaya (As on 31st March): 6 years
Max Age (As on 31st March): 7 years
Minimum age for Class 2 in Kendriya Vidyalaya (As on 31st March): 6 years
Max Age (As on 31st March): 8 years
Minimum age for Class 3 in Kendriya Vidyalaya (As on 31st March): 7 years
Max Age (As on 31st March): 9 years
Minimum age for Class 4 in Kendriya Vidyalaya (As on 31st March): 8 years
Max Age (As on 31st March): 10 years
Minimum age for Class 5 in Kendriya Vidyalaya (As on 31st March): 9 years
Max Age (As on 31st March): 11 years
Minimum age for Class 6 in Kendriya Vidyalaya (As on 31st March): 10 years
Max Age (As on 31st March): 12 years
Minimum age for Class 7 in Kendriya Vidyalaya (As on 31st March): 11 years
Max Age (As on 31st March): 13 years

Note: The maximum age limit can be relaxed by two years in case of Differently abled children by the Principal.
Required Documents for Class 1 Admission
Students need to submit the following documents at the time of the submission of the KV admission for Class 1.
- Single girl child affidavit (only fort SGC applicants)
- Birth certificate (compulsory for all)
- Caste certificate (ST/SC/OBC-non creamy layer child)
- Student’s photograph (in jpg format)
- EWS/BPL card (for EWS/BPL applicants for RTE)
- Proof of residence
- The undertaking of parents on a distance of residence from school (for RTE applicants)
