What process is to be carried out for the Transfer of Ownership of a commercial vehicle in West Bengal?
- This procedure is called Transfer of Permit or Transfer of Ownership of the vehicle. In that case, a joint application of the buyer & the seller together with Form no- 29 and 30 ( Form no-31 in case of Death), address proof & PAN Card of both the buyer & the seller, affidavits sworn by the buyer, the seller and jointly by both of them, Form no-35, N.O.C. of the Financier(if the vehicle is hypothecated), all valid documents (tax token, Insurance certificate, PUC, CoF, RC) are to be submitted before the RTA. After observance of some procedure, ie, verification of sale of the vehicle, hearing regarding the transfer of permit, the ownership of the said commercial vehicles is transferred from the seller to the buyer.
What is the procedure for Replacing an existing commercial vehicle in West Bengal?
- The holder of a permit may, with the permission of the authority by which the permit was granted, replace any vehicle covered by the permit with any other vehicle of the same nature. In the case of KMC, Salt Lake, and Lake-town Police station areas plying of commercial vehicle is restricted up to 15 years from the date of initial registration.
- Application in a plain sheet of paper along with valid tax token, insurance certificate, PUC, COF, of the existing vehicles, and NOC of the financier, if hypothecated, are to be submitted along with application fees of Rs.1000 before the authority.
What is the validity period of O.L. S.L. and replacement order in West Bengal?
- The Offer-Letter, Sanction Letter & Replacement Orders are issued for 30(thirty) days. The validity period can be extended, as per approval of the authority, up to 180 days on submission of Form-21, Temporary registration document & the Govt. revenues.
