The catalogue encompasses festivities that hold local importance, as well as those celebrated by specific religious or communal groups.

The purpose of these holidays is to provide employees with the flexibility to take time off from their work schedule to celebrate events and festivals that hold great significance to them. List of thirty three Restricted Holidays in 2024

India’s working culture is unique in that it emphasizes the importance of restricted holidays in their CCS Rules. Although businesses remain open on these days, employees can use their restricted holiday list to take time off as they please. This exceptional system promotes greater flexibility in the workplace and acknowledges the diverse cultural and religious backgrounds of India’s working professionals. It creates an atmosphere of inclusivity and respect for the personal beliefs and traditions of each employee.
