How Do Get A Temporary Authorization To Drive?

Temporary authorisation to drive is issued to the applicant when the holder of a licence has submitted the licence to the Licencing Authority for renewal or for obtaining an authorization to drive a transport vehicle, or when a police officer or any court or any other competent authority has taken temporary possession of a licence for any purpose citizen applies for a temporary authorization to drive.

Requirements for Temporary authorization to drive:

• The applicant needs to produce evidence, DL Number
• Form 9
• Form 1A
• Any specific order of the Court or police officer or any competent authority.

How To Get Your Vehicle Temporarily Registered?

Temporary registration of vehicles to be obtained from the Registering Authority, Eseva centre or from the Dealer at the time of purchase of the vehicle.

Requirements for Temporary Registration of Vehicle:

• Form-20 (Duly signed by the owner/In duplicate in case of Hire Purchase/ Hypothecation / Lease duly signed by the Owner and Financier)
• Copies of Form-21 and Invoice issued by the Dealer.
• Copy of the Insurance Certificate
• Tax payment receipt.

Note:

The details of Owner like Individual/ Company/ Organisation/ Institution has to be verified and the number of vehicles the Owner possesses to check the details of tax payments to arrive at the different rates of taxes applicable as per Taxation Act and Rules for the payments made at E Seva or at the Dealer. How To Get A Registration Number Reserved For Your Vehicle?

No person will drive any Motor Vehicle and no owner of a Motor Vehicle will cause or permit the vehicle to be driven in any public place or any other place unless the vehicle is registered. The registration number is generated by the system in alphabetical order as per the applicant’s name, however, the owner may apply for a reservation of a special number.
Reservation of a special Number is a process of assigning a Registration number on the choice of the owner instead of assigning the number in the routine series by collecting some additional fees based on the number he selects.

a) Requirements for Reservation of Special Number:

• Form-RRMA- application for reservation of Special Number.
• Form-RRMTA – for the applicants who participate in the auction for the same special number in the bidding process.
• Tax payments receipt or Eseva Tax payment receipt or Temporary Registration if available.
• The special number selected from the available list of 1000 numbers listed on the notice board excluding the numbers marked as ® reserved numbers.
• The applicant has to prepare the Demand Draft for the adequate fees against the Special Number available for reservation as per the APMV Act and Rules and service charge along with the application and should drop in the DropBox before 1 P.M.

Note:

• The DropBox will be opened after 1 P.M. and the applications received will be sorted as per the number of applicants for each Special Number the details are verified.
• If only one application received for a special number so requested and is not an already reserved number then the number is directly reserved to the vehicle for which the applicant has applied and a proceeding confirming the reservation of a special number is generated and given to the applicant.
• If there is more than one applicant requesting for the same number they have to fill the application in Form RRMTA with a demand draft not less than the adequate fees against the Special Number and should submit the Demand Draft in a sealed envelope to the Registering Authority for the bidding process.
• Bid amount details of all the bidders need to enter into the system and the system assigns the reserved number to the highest successful bidder.
• In case of an unsuccessful bid, the amount paid by the participant will be returned.
• In case of absence of participation, the amount paid for the reservation of a special number will be forfeited.
• The special numbers so reserved are valid for 15 days from the date of issue.
• If the vehicle is not registered within 15 days the number so reserved is automatically get cancelled.
• The same process for reservation is to be followed for vehicles from other state and converted vehicles.

b) Requirements for reservation of number in Current/ Tatkaal Scheme:

• The applicant should have already applied for registration of his vehicle in the office on the day of application for the Current/Tatkaal Scheme.
• The applicant has to choose the Current number in the available list of the Current number generation report before the registering Authority. Form-RRMA- application for reservation of Current/Tatkaal Number.
• Form-RRMTA – for the applicants who participate in the auction for the same Current/Tatkaal in the bidding process.
• The applicant has to prepare the Demand Draft for the adequate fees against the Current/Tatkaal Number available for reservation as per the APMV Act and Rules and service charge along with the application.
•  If there is more than one applicant requesting for the same number they have to fill the application in Form RRMTA with a demand draft not less than the adequate fees against the Current/Tatkaal Number and should submit the Demand Draft in a sealed envelope to the Registering Authority for the bidding process.

Note:

How To Get Registration Certificate Renewed?

Requirements for Renewal of Registration Certificate:

• Form – 25 for Non-Transport Category (duly signed by the Registered Owner, duly signed by owner and financer if covered by finance)
• Original Certificate of Registration.
• Insurance Certificate
• Pollution Under Control Certificate
• The vehicle shall be produced before the Inspecting Authority for inspection in Good Condition.
• Tax payment receipt
• Applicable Green Tax as per Rules.

[Note: The application should be filed 60 days before the date of expiry of the registration certificate.]

Validity:

a) The Non-Transport Category vehicle is renewed for 5 years from the date of approval if the application is approved after the expiry date of a registration certificate or if it submitted before the date of expiry then 5 years from the date of expiry.
b) For a Transport Category Vehicle the Renewal of Certificate of Fitness is itself called the renewal of registration certificate and its validity is 1 year from the date of approval or if it submitted in time i.e., before 15 days of expiry then validity is 1 year from the date of expiry.
